Over 7000 Volunteer Hours Clocked in 2016

A celebration of our incredible Lighthouse keepers

The Lighthouse is built on our fantastic, servant-hearted team of volunteers.  If it were not for the 60+ individuals who give up their time every week to serve in a variety of ways, our groups, activities and the support we provide would not be possible.

On Thursday 9th March we invited our invaluable volunteers to a meal and evening of celebration to thank them for their incredible sacrifice for the sake of the Lighthouse and the wider Tillydrone community in 2016.  We calculated that over 7000 hours of voluntary service had been donated by the team over the last 12 months, averaging over 100 hours per person.  An incredible feat!

Our Lighthouse volunteers range from 18 to nearly 80 years old; students to parents to retirees; support workers to crèche carers to Café servers – and everyone in between!

We want to one again publicly thank each and every one of them for their selfless gift to this community.
